In Memory of Starline Nunley . . . An Enduring Flame
March 12, 1943 to June 2, 2011

Starline never thought of herself, she always had the welfare of others at the forefront of her mind.

For the past four years she has
made a difference in this world one dog at a time by creating SupportMilitaryWorkingDogs.org to provide protective gear and more for the dogs (and their handlers) who are out in military war zones (Iraq and Afghanistan) helping to protect all our soldier sons and daughters.

This organization will not disappear with her passing. We will continue on with her strength at our back and her enduring spirit as our guide.

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush.
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine
        at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.

Author Mary Elizabeth Frye (1932)

Thank You...
Starline's family would like to thank the following people for their Memorial Donations,
condolences, and flowers. And a very special "Thank You" for the Patriot Guard
who for the first time in their history honored a civilian by standing guard
at the viewing and memorial service, and for performing the slow salute during Taps.
